Our
Expert Cruiser frame is designed to fit riders 5’1” to
5’5”. The frame
has a 1-1/8” head tube but now that Crupi offers the
“Chameleon” headset, you can use a 1” fork and stem to
lighten the bike and make it fit even smaller riders. This is an awesome feature, but keep in mind that most 1”
forks and stems come with rider weight limits around 90 to 100lbs.
The
Expert Cruiser also features a 9” seat tube with a 66-degree
angle keeping the seat low and behind the rider and out of the way
when pedaling. It
also has a slightly easier head angle than most frames at 73
degrees. The reason behind this is that riders on skinny tires feel
squirrelly with steep head angles.
This makes them slow down until the bike feels more
comfortable. The main
idea here is to make them feel more comfortable so they can go
faster! Our 73-degree
head angle gives the bike quick enough turning but makes the bike
feel more secure (especially in the turns) allowing them to go
faster.
Finally,
our Cruiser frames feature real short back-ends that make
the bike react quicker out of the gate and the turns.
Shorter back ends also tend to manual jumps better.
Crupi frames come standard with custom cable hangars and
machined head tubes, which are faced for you so your headset will
press in smoothly and evenly.
Yes, there was a lot of thought that went into our frames.

we’re not just a parts company anymore! |
