Talk
about some things or hobbies you enjoy doing other than
riding/racing:
I usually like to hang out with
my friends. Other than that, it's riding my road bike and
training at the Velodrome.
Tell
us about your daily routine, "the daily routine of a new
"A Pro": Usually I just hang out
till around noon, then I begin doing sprints and endurance
training. I do power training 3 days a week and other than
that I'm working on my bike and eating a lot of
food.
You do
most of the bike tests for BMX Plus Magazine. Describe
what it is like to do these tests and see your picture in the
mag almost every month? It's a
great experience getting to ride in my Crupi stuff for BMX
Plus. Getting to ride the other company's products gives
me a full perspective of race products.
Since
you are a Simi Valley Track local, you have grown up riding with
some of today's best riders including Eric Rupe, Chris Verhagen,
Mike Day and Steven Cisar. What is it like to ride with
those guys on a regular basis and how has riding with them
helped you? Riding with them is
so much fun. They all like to hang out and have a good
laugh. And they also help out the younger and newer
riders!
Describe
your best racing accomplishment: I
have to say my best accomplishments are making my amateur mains
and getting faster.
Describe
your worst racing experience (on the track or off):
Getting
injured is always the worst part. But one specific injury
was a concussion in 2005 which I had to spend the night at the
hospital and had a six inch long fracture in my
skull.
Who
is your favorite or most respected rider on the track and why:
I don't have a most respected
rider. All of us have put in work and have had our fair
share of injuries.
Tell
us about what goals you have for both life and racing:
My goal for life is to become a strong enough rider
that I get paid for it. Not just in BMX but all aspects of
cycling. I want to be fast enough that I don't have to do
city work.
Are
you excited about BMX in the Olympics and what are yr plans for
the Olympics?
No!
What
racing tip or advice would you like to give riders:
Train
as hard as you can and don't give up. The wait is worth it
when you exceed everyone's expectations.
Final
thoughts or anything you would like to say:
No |
